I agree with torch. My experience was with one of the big names. Bought mama a V-strom 650 and was setting it up for a ride around Lake Michigan. Was looking for two Givi E38 monokey bags with the intern straps. Givi USA said they only had one basic bag without the internal straps in stock and...
If the shorter oil filter hadn't made my oil light come on numerous times, and both times one was on my FZ1 I wouldn't have know the difference. The dealership just used the filter that was currently in stock and that "we always have used these." When I bought a spare filter from the same...
I had a 2003 FZ1 and never had problems with oil filters. The kid got a new 2009 FZ6 in 2010. I took both bikes to the local Yamaha dealership to have the oil and filters changed before we rode out to Yellowstone.
My FZ1 oil light came on numerous times on the ride and the oil level was always...
I don’t feel bad now. Looks like an everywhere thing. Took my 05 FJR to the dealer here in Eau Claire to have the forks rebuilt when they started gushing oil. Asked them to replace the bushing too, was told they probably didn’t need it. I said since your people are going to have the forks torn...
I looked into rebuilding the factory shock on 2005 three years ago to save money. After some research I ended up just getting the best deal I could find on an aftermarket shock. That ended being an Ohlins without the remote preload. Never regretted spending the $$ and got Zilla bucks to spend on...
A blue 2004. When I was buying a lower fairing for a 2009 FZ6 I had to order from Yamaha Canada since it wasn't available in the US. Had to order one for a 2008 FZ6 to get the right color for a 2009. Does Canada get the color a year before the U.S.?
2003 to 2005 FZ1 mirrors should be the same. The last OEM FZ1 left side I got in 2016 came from Israel. Couldn't find a new right side so I had to use one from my totaled 03. Hope you can find some.
