Trailer Build - hopefully in improvement to my current one

WOW!! I spent about 1 1/2 weeks scratching my head trying to adjusting a hood latch on the 458. And you built, made adjustments, re built, wired and got the Government to OK your project --- Sir, you've got talent. Be safe.

    Fly Fishing via FJR

Nikki As I mentioned in my previous post -- check out the Japanese TENKARA system. I'm telling you, you can't get more minimalist. You can thank me later when you catch one. Good luck Moto

    Fly Fishing via FJR

I too am new to the sport. And found that all that has been said is true -- standing in cold water, setting-up and so on... But when it came to rods and reels, it just hurt my head!!!! Everybody had a better idea (as mentioned - it's a lifestyle ). So, I looked for the simplest way to fly...

    Fork 'GAITERS'

Thanks Fred. I'll try to make one out of a milk container (as suggested to get the length) and leave the guards on. I'll then put the gaiters on over the guards. Well, please excuse me, I have to go drink a bunch of milk.

    Fork 'GAITERS'

Thank you one and all. Every time I go to this forum it help save time or opens your eyes to a different approach/finesse to a project. Way different than a hammer, screwdriver, swearing, beer, and praying before a ride when working on the classic stuff I had. Fred, still have the fork...

    Fork 'GAITERS'

Hi all!! Has anyone used fork gaiters on their FJR and if so -- what supplier. Also, a little leak around my seals (seems odd it's around both & almost at the same time. No rough roads but most often 2 up). Am I kidding myself by trying the SEAL MATE tool? Bike 07 39K on it - not an auto...

    Shift pedal adjustment ?

Manicmarker - did mirror trick. No extra holes, looks like a pressed on post (as hotrodzilla has on his). Hotrodzilla - about marks on case. Good info. I did not know that. The bottom of my shifter arm lever is level with the bottom case line. I will try the Radiohowie method and move #16...

    Shift pedal adjustment ?

Now, now guys. I'd sooner take a grinder and to the top of my boot to make it fit then have an argument ! I don't see the holes at the rubber shifter pedal. But there are two dash marks on the plate just behind the shifter? -- do you think I should take the cover off all the way back to the...

    Shift pedal adjustment ?

Hi! How does one move the shift pedal up on a 07 (new boots - a bit hard to get under shifter). The owners manual shows moving the shifter peg to a different hole on the arm. My bike does not have the holes in the arm as the manual suggest. Thanks for any help,

    Anyone ride with ski gloves?

Don't do it --- use your ski gloves to put a snow chain on your bike tire - should you get caught by surprise in December riding around Colorado (that way you won't mess up your motorcycle gloves with road salt). All kidding aside -- I find that some ski gloves won't even give you a good...

Help extracting bolt with stripped head

Canadian FJR said it right. I have a Moto Guzzi with a bunch of those bolts holding the oil pan on - the pan has the filter in it. So, after 120,000 miles of oil change, something had to give & the drill idea seems to work well.
