I have two other Yamahas that I love so why would I choose anything different? I'm also a Kawasaki guy but in this instance, I like the FJR much more than the Concours. BMWs never appealed to me in large part due to their insufferable owners.

I've never checked it. This bike only has about 8,500 miles on it and it just started doing this Tuesday. I'll start a new thread so i don't clutter up this one.

It started if that is what you mean.

My 2016 just started doing this. It will start and die, start and die each time the check engine light comes on. I just tried opening the throttle a little and it came to life. It's doing it warm and cold.

Congrats on the retirement. I did the opposite when I retired and bought an FJR to add to my cafe and sport bikes. Different tools for different tasks... Love the Triumphs.

I'm looking for a rear rack for a soft bag as well. I don't see anything for the FJR on the Touratech site and from what I see of the new style rack from PCA is basically a place to put a backrest which I don't want. Are there any others out there? The old style PCA is about perfect.

I went this route. https://www.quietridehelmets.com/ I wish there was a BT option for it but it works pretty well. I got tired of losing the earbuds and my navigation instructions and having to pull over, pull off the helmet and gloves, put the earbuds back in only to have them fall out halfway...

I just did my first "long" ride (~150 miles) and was not happy with the stock seat. That Seth Laam seat looks the Bomb.

Great video of NC/GA. Some of the best riding in the country for sure.
