2016 Is Official 6-spd, Slipper, LEDs, Analog Tach, Price

It only slips when it's supposed to, it's magic.

I like slipper clutches, I do a lot of riding in mountain canyons, it works great in that environment. I want all my bikes to have slipper clutches.

    Heated Vest And Gloves

+1 this is my experience also. I carry a spare CR2032 in the jacket, I change it once per season and have never had a dead battery doing that.

2016 Is Official 6-spd, Slipper, LEDs, Analog Tach, Price

I think all of the improvements are positive, I like some more than others. The 6 speed tranny is just to do away with the distraction to a prospective buyer, those of us that know it doesn't matter, already bought one. I want several color options per year! It's not hard, just mix and match...

    2015 Factory Service Manual

I wonder, you guys that find the website to be glitchy, are you using a MacBook and Safari? It's what I use and sometimes I have problems, not often. But every time I've had a problem, using Firefox instead has solved the problem.

Nice day for a ride on my new ES

Looks good, where are the bags? Are you picking them up at the 600 mi service?

    Trailer tie down points

I never had a need to trailer my FJR, but here is how I tied down my VFR. Canyon Dancer on the handlebars and high on the rear foot pegs. PS: I tried to embed pictures I have in Phtobucket into this message, but I get an error that "that file extension is not allowed in this community". I...

    Wind Protection and Riding Posture

The cruise control on the '13 FJR can't be set higher than 80 mph, they upped that limit on the '14.

    Wind Protection and Riding Posture

I put 12K miles on an '04 RT I had, and 32k miles on an '08 FJR I had. And currently have 4k miles on my '14 BMW GSW. That pretty much covers your field. My '14 GSW is miles better than my '04 RT. The engine changes are significant: smoother, more power, slipper clutch, wet clutch, no more...

Test rode 2014 RT - nice, but.....

I had an '08 FJR for five years and put 32k miles on it. Great bike, I loved it, best bang for the buck. Perhaps best bang for any buck. I don't have a single negative comment about it, I had zero mechanical problems with it. I just had it for a long time and I was ready for something...

    brake lever question

Finally had some time for this, pulled out the rubber boot and found dirt and gum in there. Cleaned it out and it works much better now. But it's not 100% normal, it returns all the way back to reset the brake switch but it feels a little mushy returning. But this is obviously the root cause.

    FJR most common issues

If you plan to buy a new one, I would say there are no reliability issues right now. A friend of mine had an ST 1300 but it was older than yours, I think an '06. Here are some things I remember. The saddlebags on the FJR are MUCH easier to remove and reinstall. The FJR has a small storage...

    brake lever question

RaY, thanks, that's very helpful. I found the exploded view you mentioned and I can clearly see what you describe. Donal, I don't need further information.
