Motorcycle For Sale For Sale 2016 FJR1300A $9,000

Wow! Great price on that for the miles it has. When the time comes for a "new" FJR, I'll be looking for exactly what you're selling. Best wishes.

    FJR 1300 Rear Trunk

I've had a good experience with the Amazon $99 item "MMG Motorcycle Touring Xlarge Top Box" if you're looking for something cheap. It's not burglar-proof, but what is? It comes with it's own platform. You mount that to the existing platform with two pieces of wide flat bar. Can be a fun little...

    New to FJR Forum...

Hey Kent! Greetings from California (San Diego area). FJR seems to me to be one of the most dependable and well engineered bikes I've ever seen! I'm glad you're on one now. I'm plannning a camping tour to Omaha and back this summer. Safe Travels, -StratTuner

    My First NEW FJR!

Great choice on the new bike. How many miles were on the new one. Seems like a good idea to buy last year's model if you can find one at a Motorsports they want to get rid of! My 2nd FJR was a 2012 that had 5K on it...It was still sitting in a show room in 2020 for $6,000, so.... SOLD! Pictures...

    FJR Aux Lights

Post Project thoughts... I swapped in the kind of lights that have a magnifying lens in front of the LEDs. They worked fine but duplicated what the stock lights already do so well! I've settled on the square lights (pictured as before) that put out more dispersed lights. The best change was...

    FJR Aux Lights

Wow! That some kind of wiring wizardry there! Well done! Link to those lights?

    FJR Aux Lights

The Amazon Link is <HERE>. One reviewer noted the lights draw just under 2 amps. Specs are: LED Light Bar, Northpole Light [2 Pack] 18W CREE LED Item Dimensions LxWxH 3.82 x 2.56 x 3.15 inches Brand Northpole Light Color...

    FJR Aux Lights

I look forward to seeing pictures so that I can figure out what "coupling nuts" might be. I adjusted the lights for up/down left/right tonight and that went well. The lights I use now throw in a broad pattern which is good since the stock headlights focus more narrowly. The FJR lights are...

    FJR Aux Lights

3 ball detents: the plate that accepts the three detents is still there, and I put in a piece of soft, rubber-maid brand, plastic on the side with the three bb's so that they would indent into the soft plastic and NOT the flat bar. I considered using bicycle inner tube rubber for that, but the...

    FJR Aux Lights

Ever since I replaced the stock headlight bulbs with LED units, I've noticed that there isn't much light available in steep turns. Consider leaning in to a turn on a freeway onramp that travels almost full circle. The LED lights spread nicely across the road, side to side, with good coverage in...

    New to FJR

Welcome to FJR land! Make sure the top box has a comfortable back rest. You might consider putting armrests on the topbox. I'm imagining the kind a beach chair uses so that they might fold UP. That woud take some eingineering. If $$$ is not a problem, then a Russel Day Long for her would be...

    More luggage options

I've done my fair share of camping/touring on the FJR. These trips to Omaha from California are always known camp sites on graded dirt roads or KOA. Gear is dispersed as follows: - camping gear in 20gal project box as top box - Yamaha saddlebags store riding gear (hot, cold, rain, gloves...

    Tire sealant? Roadside flat fix

I asked my mechanic, and as predicted, he advised against. I like the idea that "Ride On" and the like automatically balance the tire, but I'd rather not subject my mechanics to that much GOO! thanks for all the replies and advice. You can't buy that kind of real experience!

    Tire sealant? Roadside flat fix

Just did a search and found many answers. Should have done that first! 12v pump and sticky string plugs seem to be best. Combine that with an inner sealant, any brand, and that's about all the prevention you can do. ...

    Tire sealant? Roadside flat fix

Two flats in two months... $275 to have it towed each time... Does anyone use sealant in tires? Does it work? Repair kits? Ropes or plugs? I have a slime brand pump that connects easily. What do you use for roadside flats?
