Just got my letter from Yamaha Canada.
They said I should not ride it until it is fixed.

Easier to go from US to Canada. All that is neccessary is a "No Recall" letter or be on the approved vehicle list and pay the $220 to the Gov for bringing the bike in, along with the appropriate DUTY, PST and GST....

I also have the Premiercycle rack and backrest. Backrest is held on by 2 hex screws which bolts up to the rack and can be mounted or taken off in about 2 minutes. The rack also can be fitted with helmet locks which are a great plus.

May be a good idea to get to a dealership and have someone show you. Just wander around and casually ask a sales weasel how that center stand thing works. You will be amazed how easy it is....
