Considering a garage queen, pros and cons.

Assume you meant “replace tires”, not wheels.

For those using Murphs rider peg lowering kits - rear brake and shifter

Ok, here's my update and what I've done to resolve the "issue" with Murphs FJR peg lowering kit moving the pegs out approx 1.5" and causing the shifter and rear brake to be considerably "inboard" and having to "pigeon toe" shifter and brake. Rear brake pedal extender Bought a used brake pedal...

    Caliper Rebuild

99% sure that procedure does not bleed air out, just cycles the fluid (and any air) sitting in the ABS in/out.

    Just bought a 2008 FJR

I love Hondas as well. Started on a 90, then 2 CB750’s, a CB900C. My other bike currently is a 99 Honda GL1500 Valkyrie. When I bought first 2005 FJR in 2006, I researched the ST1300, then again early this year before I bought a 2013 FJR. It seems that most here that have had both prefer the FJR...

    Side Panel Repair

Forgot to put the kickstand down? Unless he could pay for repairs, that would secure a BUNCH of housework, yard work, car washes, grocery runs, etc., etc... lol

    Side Panel Repair

I know how you feel. I'm the same way about any self-inflicted damage to cars, trucks, boats, bikes, home. It weighs on me until I get it fixed. Do what you need to do to get through it.

    Side Panel Repair

I had previously posted info on a great plastic panel repair and paint matching magician here in north Texas. You might consider giving him a call or sending an e-mail. He does do work via mail/shipping. Guaranteed he can repair any tupperware part and match the paint perfectly. Mike Zoulek...

New Member from Traverse City, MI

My vote would be the "amazingly red" 2014 with under 10k miles on it for $6,750. Leaves a LOT of room for farkling, engine and saddle bag gurads ($400), new seat ($400-700+), bar risers ($200+) and anything else it might need. I got a clean well maintained 2013 in Dallas area back in January...

Has anyone else here ever added a suspending pin to their MC Enterprises Canyon Cages to ease front end maintenance?

I don;t hear any reason NOT to roll with your idea (other than opinions that it may be over-thinking and engineering). If you like to tinker, go for it. Depending on whether I want to lift the front or rear (I personally don't really see the need to lift both to have both wheels/tires off at the...

    Oil Leak happening right now…

Couple things to add: This may have been covered here already. Sorry if duplicate advice. As many here would advise and you just learned... On any previously owned bike (especially with more than with more than 16k miles), it is prudent to 1) change ALL fluids despite what you've been told by...

Which one of your 99 FJR's was going to have the surgery? ;^)

Doesn’t make a lot of sense to mess with Yamaha engineering unless you are just really bored…
