    Bill Mayer Saddle

Which bike are they made for? Where do they bolt on to our FJR's? Are they better positioned than the Wild Bill pegs? Come on, give us the 4-1-1 and help a brother(s) out. Woody

    Front Fork Removal Questions

Well, I got the forks off the bike yesterday, with all tupperware in place, and they are now on their way to GP Suspension. Everything went very smoothly, but I did find something that reminded me why I should never, never, never let the 'tards at the dealer work on my bike. Last fall, I...

    Front Fork Removal Questions

Thanks for all the encouragement and validation of my assessment. I'm gonna try it with the tupperware in place and if I can't get a torque wrench in there I think I can get the torque pretty close by feel. I mean, hell, those bolts aren't very critical anyway, right? Adios, Woody

    Front Fork Removal Questions

Yep, that's what I was thinking. The only reason I could see to remove the tupperware was to be able to torque the pinch bolts on the lower triple clamp when reassembling. Adios, Woody

    Front Fork Removal Questions

I need to remove my forks to send to GP Suspension for a rebuild. Is it really necessary to remove the front fairing and side panels to do this? Or, have some of y'all figgered out a way to get the forks off without disassembling the entire front of the bike. Jeez, it looks complicated in the...

800 miles on the clock and can't ride for a couple of months

GA---Sorry too hear about the BP. I've had it twice myself - once on each side of my face - so I know what your dealing with. I used an eye patch over my bad eye and found that I was able to compensate for the lack of depth perception in about a week's time. Here's hoping for a speedy...

    Source for V-Strom handguards?

You know what they say, "No matter how good looking they are, somebody, somewhere, is tired of their shit." I'm gonna sharpen my lawnmower blade now.

    Source for V-Strom handguards?

Some people call it a slingblade, I call it a Kaiser.

    Source for V-Strom handguards?

I looked on their website and couldn't find the kit. Do you have a part number for it? Or do I just call them and tell 'em what I want?

    Fixed the Herky-Jerky Throttle

Last Saturday I rode the FJR over to see Fred H. and get some help on the throttle weirdness I had. Fred and I did the Barbarian jumper mod, the CO adjustment, the center throttle spring release, and the Fred H. throttle pulley modification. For any of you on the fence about the Fred H. pulley...

    Air Hawk Seat Cushion

I've been using an AirHawk since the day I picked up my FJR and wouldn't ride without it. I don't know what size mine is. I bought it many years ago and have used it on various bikes since. I also put an Alaska Leather sheepskin Buttpad on top of the Airhawk and this gives me comfort equal to...

    Where to get bungie buddies?

Has anyone actually put a set of these on their bike? Did you put them on the saddlebags? How'd you do it with the double walls of the bags? Enquiring minds want to know....... Woody

    Wool seat cover

I also bought my sheepshin cover from Alaska Leather. I've been using it on top of an Air Hawk seat cushion on my '06 and find it to be very comfortable. I think this setup may eliminate my need for a custom seat. At least for a while. Adios... Woody
