Same here, suction mount for the Tom Tom worked perfect for months and then one day I was making a quick catch. The new nuvi 550 coming will have a Ram Mount for sure.

I still have my 95 VFR, which is my third (my first being a 83, second 85). I am still going to pick up a 86 someday just because it was the first actual VFR (not vf750R). Love the FJR and have not seen the VFR 1200 yet in person but that V4 will always have a place in my heart.

Ditto, the option to add lighting would be great!

I wouldn't call it poor judgement. Speed limits here are commonly 110KM/H with regular rate of traffic flow at 120. I believe that you are statistically safest around 5%-10% over rate of flow. 4000 RPM on my FJR is only 120-130KM/H (75-80MPH) which for a bike of this size and stability seems...
