Not the 1st, won't be the last I'm sure....

Guess I shouldn't have sold the FJR for not having time to ride....just got 'downsized' today after 25 1/2 years. Big companies suck. There's no loyalty to employees anymore, it's all about the Benjamins. I did receive a pretty generous severance, but not looking forward to job hunting at 57...

    06 FJR for sale

I've decided to let it go, just not getting used enough to justify keeping. I think I'm regressing....having more fun playing in the dirt! Asking $6500 on Craigslist; for my fellow board members, $6k and it's yours. Call or text 614-506-7530 if you have any questions. Thanks, Greg.

FJR sighting in Red Wing MN

We were heading in to a sports bar Sunday afternoon about 4:30 when an 07 went by heading south. Anyone from the board?

    What to do in Minneapolis?

It's that time of year again, the wife's conference is in Minneaplolis and we're going out a few days early for a little R&R before she has to be at the convention center all week. We're leaving Frday morning and staying downtown. Flying in, so no bike to ride...wah! Any suggestions for stuff to...

    Yes...I have a motorcycle problem.

Since we went to Perry to ride trails, a guy I know at work asked if I was going to ride the Flint Ridge AMA dualsport ride....why not?! Well...Shinko 244's suck in the mud, that's why! I didn't know that beforehand and wasn't expecting the muddy conditions either. Anyway, I screwed up my GoPro...

Finally got the DR350 out in the woods

The stepson and I went down to Perry State Forrest Saturday. Wish we'd have gone a little bit further down to Monday Creek in Wayne N.F. Perry was more suited to 4 wheelers with a lot of softball sized gravel filling in ruts. It was kinda slick when we did find dirt from the rain Friday night...

Spidi full leather suit, Sidi vertabrae boots, and Bohn back protector

Forgive me for posting these on the FZ1 board, but I figured there are more track junkies there! I've decided to get rid of my track stuff since I haven't done one in 4 or 5 years. I want to get some dual sport gear and hit the trails on my DR350. The suit. SOLD...

    Any VW TDI owners here?

I've got a car that's going to be replaced in the not too distant future and was looking hard at getting a TDI, either a Jetta or a Passat for, obviously, the fuel mileage and being a diesel it'll tow a small trailer much easier than a gasser. I've been lurking on Tdiforum for a while now and...

    Any plumbers in the house?

and it didn't go well...It was stuck pretty good and the crossbars were already broken off, so I tried beating it with a srewdriver in a gouged edge. It started to turn a little bit, then the ring broke off the top! I keep trying to get it to turn, then the damn thing slid down the hole! The...

Going to Portland, Oregon on the 1st

The SO's annual conference is in Portland, Oregon this year and we're leaving a few days early for some R&R before it starts. We're staying at the Siloh hotel in Seaside for a few nights. Any suggestions for a couple of midwesterners from the locals besides the obvious attractions? We're...

    Looked at a 93 DR350 yesterday

It's in ruff shape; filthy, gas tank dent, no turn signals, etc, etc. But it's dirt cheap and I'm sure I could part it out and make a little money if I can't get it running. Here's the thing, the owner said it 'just died' while he was riding it and he pulled the clutch in and stopped. The...

Vintage Japanese bike show at Iron Pony

Just thought I'd share some pics and let you guys take a stroll down memory lane... https://yamahafz1oa.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2325370&posted=1 It takes too long to link all these pics and I'm lazy! Enjoy.

    Any 2 stroke gurus?

and it runs fine for 15-20 minutes then starts cutting out and almost dies. Pulled the plug and it looks fine. Leave the bike sit and cool off and it fires up 1st kick and runs fine for another 15-20 minutes. I took the petcock off and cleaned it up, it wasn't too bad, but was hard to turn. It...

    Canon S95

I bought a used one off fleabay, it should be here tomorrow, based off of reviews and recommendations from some guys on FZOA. I want something a little better than my old SD450 that I can learn using manual settings w/o jumping in the deep end and getting a DSLR. Any opinions, tips or tricks...

    PR2 road noise

Just want to make sure it's not something else. I've always had sport bikes before and never noticed any tire noise...of course you don't over the wind noise, but with all the protection of the FJR's fairing and with the screen raised, I seem to notice it a lot.

    Bought an 00 XR100

Picked it up for $550, not too bad, only needed a rear tube to get it rolling. Had to run it up and down the street a few times to make sure the tranny worked... ;) and we've been tearing up the grass in our itty bitty yard. I figure I could replace some beat up parts and clean it up and maybe...
