Need a Dowco cover for the Feej. Mine was ripped off right in front of the sheriff's department I work at. I had it secured and everything. If you have one you're not using drop me a line and we'll chat price and shipping. Hope all is well and ride safe.

I'm certain the pilot verified with the troops on the ground the incline gradient prior to extraction. The PIC knows the max gradient they can set the rear down on without clipping a rotor, depending on winds and terrain. Very ballsy for sure and definitely a dedicated Chinook crew. Impressive.
Really glad you are okay. Remember, you are on drill status to and from drill. Report any injury to your chain of command, could save you down the road.

What you are describing is totally normal. Just roll the throttle on enough to engage the clutch and downshift into the lower gears. Sometimes you have to do this and sometimes you don't. I'm sure there is a transmission guru here that'll say something about aligning the dogs, or forks, or...
Solved. A good Ausie called today and walked me through the diagnostic steps and found that I had some cable adjustments to be made. Highly recommend MCC based on the customer service I received today. Thanks for the replies y'all.

Have an MCCruise unit installed and it works well. I've noticed that, before and after the PCIII install, the unit will surge quite a bit, especially when going downhill and resuming its setting. Anyone else experiencing this, or do I possibly have a faulty unit? Any advice/replies are...
Please y'all, buy the PCIII now. It will fix the problems with the throttle. It made a world of difference on my O-six and there is absolutely no farkle remorse. Find one used if you can, but don't hesitate to drop the cash for new one...serious, DO IT!
My N103 is a lot louder than my N102 was. I like Nolan helmets but the 103 has been way too loud and I've been disappointed with that alone. The Schubie looks nice but six bills would go a long way towards other creature comforts. 84 db is a nice selling point though...
Not to revive the thread, I know...die cornering post!, but finally installed my PCIII and throttle lurch is history. Throttle roll-ons are buttery smooth now and cornering has stopped being the challenge that it was. I'd strongly suggest the purchase of a PCIII for any throttle lurch problems...
If you have one or know someone who has one to sell, I have the money now. Or if you know of a good deal, send me an email or PM. Thanks and ride safe.

No worries, drop stories are funny as hell, usually. I haven't dropped the FJR but when I had my ST, which seemed more top heavy, I dropped it pulling into the fire station for work. I did a slow turn to park next to a cop bike, thought I had set the side stand down and proceeded to drop my...
Well it's getting better but only because it is more predictable now. I'm getting used to holding low in a corner and trail braking while rolling the throttle on out of it. The lurch is damn near a ledge, i.e. it seems as though there is a 'curb' and not a 'curve' in the power band while in...
Hello all,
Any ideas?
The shift light illuminated while riding home from work this morning and the ABS light started blinking. I made it home and the ABS light has since gone off however there is an error code above the "Shift" wording to the left of the light that is 5h__47. Bike won't...
Mmmm, I don't know.
I took most of the throttle play out and went to big church parking lot to practice some turns, most in 2nd and some in 3rd. I came from the ST1300 so EFI and throttle 'lurch' (excellent term, thank you) aren't new to me. I had to do the same wrist control measures then...
Good point Bob, different situations call for different tactics. Guess I should have predicated my statement as a personal preference and not a general rule. But in the end, they are practically the same IMHO.
Cheers,

Hello all,
I came from the ST1300 side of the street but really like the Yami AE. My only complaint thus far, and it might just be my riding style (20 years, all ruber side down so far) is that cornering on the AE is abrupt, not smooth. This is probably due to the abruptness of the throttle...
