    Is FJR right for me?

I went from a 2nd gen Bandit to an FJR. You will like the additional wind protection and no chain maintenance.

    CAL SCI vs. CEE BAiley

I'm really happy with my Cal Sci short, but I haven't tried the Vstream. I had a Cee Bailey +2 in height. It was better than the stock screen for me, but there was back pressure with it in the higher positions. I'm 5' 7" and I have a Sargent seat which is about the same height as the stock...

    Cal-Sci Windscreen

I took the bike for a 100 mile ride this morning to check out the Cal Sci short screen. The short screen measures 17" from the center mounting screw to the top of the screen. I am 5'7", 29" inseam and I have a Sargent seat (which seems to be the same height as the stock seat). Compared to the...

    Cal-Sci Windscreen

I rode it only briefly with the screen all the way up, but it seemed to me that the backpressure was a lot less than with the CB. I will try to give a better test tomorrow and report back.

    Cal-Sci Windscreen

I just installed the short version of the California Scientific windscreen, and I really like it. It is about 1" shorter than the Cee Bailey +2 that I had on the bike. It flows plenty of air in the down position and is much quieter than the Cee Bailey when raised. I am 5' 7", and the height...

    Throttle Rocker

I really like the Throttle Rocker. It's the best $10 I ever spent on a motorcycle accessory.

    Russell Seat Height

Thank you very much for the input. I am going to get one!

    Russell Seat Height

I'm thinking of getting a Russell seat, but I need to be sure that it really won't be higher than the stock seat. The Russell web site says that the seat isn't higher than the stock seat if you slide all the way forward. Thanks for any input you could give me on this.

    '06 First 1000 Mile Impressions

The mirrors on my 2004 are dead solid at just about any speed or rpm. That is one of the things I really like about this bike. Maybe it will smooth out after a little breaking in. Be patient. This is a great motorcycle.

    Sargent Seat

I have the stock Sargent seat in Griptex. I'm 5' 7" and 180 lb. I do slide toward the tank more than on the stock seat. The Sargent seat has great quality of materials and fit and finish. I think it looks great, but it just doesn't work great for me. When I slide back far enough to get on...

Why so many not taking their bikes!!!

I think people just get fed up with waiting. In 2003 I ordered a Honda ST 1300 with ABS. I got tired of waiting on the ST 1300 and started reading about the FJR. I got my deposit back from Honda and ordered the FJR, and I did have the patience to wait on it - I'm very glad I did.

    Avon Tires

I've got about 400 miles on a new set of Avons on my 04, and I like them a lot. A very low speeds (5-10) they are a little different, and I get a little bit of decel shake or wobble slowing from 50 mph, but I don't normally take my hands off the bars, so I don't notice it unless I'm checking...

    06 in Houston

I don't think folks will be lining up to pay that! Maybe after it sits on the floor for a while they will come back to Earth.

    06 in Houston

I went to Houston Motorsports today to buy some plastic screws and rubber well nuts in case I break some installing my new California Scientific windshield (thanks for the heads up in another thread, SkooterG), and I saw they had an 06 on the floor that was available for sale. What a great...
