I have an 06 with the same noise. I think it's thetop of the fork letting out a little blast of air from the adjuster. I had an FZ1 before and didn't here this and it had similar forks and adjusters but I wasn't behind a windsheild.

I have an 06 and used the universal one. I have heated grips and with a little trimming where the power cord was it fits tight and no mods to the bike. I can get you a pic or 2 if you want.

Got my 06 last week and took care of the tight throttle and TBSync. I have a hesitation when first turning the throttle. Had it before the work and hoped the changes would fix it. Any help? Heard of a power commander. Anybody use one? Do they work well? Would it help the throttle response?

I bought one at X-mas time because they were on sale. They do a pretty good job but lack in pinpoint location. I tried to find a restraunt that had been around for many many years and it couldn't find it. I put in the lat and long and it was still off by 3/4 mile. Spend your money on another brand.
