I’ve been using Sena now for a while. I️ like them. Using a 10U and recently got a 10R for a second helmet.

I decided to use all 4 of the sync ports. I used a check valve on each one and hooked all of them together and ran that to the canister. That is probably all the vacuum I will be able to get out of this motor. Hopefully that will be enough.

Thanks for the reply! Why only ONE sync port? Wouldnt you get more (volume) vacuum from 2 or even all of them? If I decide to use more than one port do I NEED a check valve on EACH port?

I’m back from my trip. Oddly enough now that I’m back to lower altitudes it’s working better. I do think altitude can effect it but usually not enough to cause ill effects. Combine that with a vacuum leak and or low vacuum and it can see how it will cause my problem. I’ll check for a leak soon...

According to SENA it does. I have a buddy with a SMH10 and we will try it on a trip planned later this month.

Go to the Givi website and see if they use the same mount. If they do then the new one will work. Since the older one is discontinued you might have to find out what mount the new top case uses and cross reference to the old one.

To answer your questions... yes, 2 leads can be run from the battery. I don't have wireless but wish I did. You will have a wire between the controller and the liner so I couldn't see spending the extra $ on wireless. But I wish I had now. If the only thing you will have is 2 liners then yes...

Unfortunately, the rubber from the boot is not seated around the stem of the light but rather around the heatsink or fan shroud (which ever you want to call it). I couldn't get it tucked in nice and tight behind it. I do believe that it is not sealed real good and since it's around the shroud...
