Considering a garage queen, pros and cons.

I might continue to look around. My 2019 with 7K was just about a hundred dollars or so more than the listing above. And it was also through a dealer, in St. Louis. Came with one of those locking gas cap Givi tank bags and a top case too. Depends on how far you are willing to go also I suppose...

Fuse block from Japan, Eastern Beaver PC-8 install

Old thread but valid points! I actually recorded an install video for Eastern Beaver while I was doing the PC-8 work. Their stuff is well made. I would definitely put my fuse block under the driver seat. It fits perfectly down there, at least for me. Hopefully they still have the video somewhere.

Black Hills Rendezvous FJR/DUAL SPORT/ADV Bike - "Non-Rally" in the Black Hills June 20-23 2024 Steak Dinner and Registration now open!

Just booked my room. The rates were a little screwy, but the lady was quite nice and was going to call me back after some 'research' she said.

Black Hills Rendezvous FJR/DUAL SPORT/ADV Bike - "Non-Rally" in the Black Hills June 20-23 2024 Steak Dinner and Registration now open!

I (briefly) switched to a Yamaha 900GT and was less than overwhelmed. Ended up selling it to a guy who drove down from Colorado to Texas and the next day I flew up to St. Louis where I had located a 2019 FJR, bought it and rode it home to the Dallas area. Much happier. Never actually ridden a...

I'd say look for an ST1300 from Honda, but they quit making those as well. (Pan European over there BTW)

    fog/spot combo fork light source

So true. I use their driving lights on my lower forks and quite happy with them however.

    fog/spot combo fork light source

They have great stuff (Denali) but not inexpensive.

Trying to get a hall pass currently! Bit of a ride from Texas but I have never been to that part of the country so should be worth it. Keith Quigley 2019 FJR1300A

    Sold Aerostich R-3 $900

Good question. I only really ever used the Roadcrafter when I was commuting on a previous bike. About a 70 mile RT Mon-Fri. Worked great in most weather. You definitely will get to work dry and even not as sweaty as you would think in the summer. And we do have warm summers in north Texas. But...

    Sold Aerostich R-3 $900

I have worn Aerostich for many years. Even sent my original Darien back to have a couple of fixes done. My Roadcrafter has not been worn that much but is also great quality.

Motopia bike nite - anyone? In Dallas this evening.

Well it was an interesting evening. Met Rene, Grahame and Stewart. One Honda, a Triumph and a BMW GS in attendance, next to my FJR. Less time than usual spent in the parking lot looking at mods to our respective bikes and more time eating a really good (but pricey) meal at Ida Claire's in...

Motopia bike nite - anyone? In Dallas this evening.

Read an article somewhere several years ago about this place called Motopia that had a biker cafe in Dallas. The spot is apparently no longer in operation but they still get together for drinks/dinner at local Dallas spots for a bike nite. Their site also shows they organize rides around the...

    Lowering Kit

Used Soupy's on a previous Honda ST1300 and on an earlier FJR. Worked well for me. 5'8 and a 30" inseam. Able to flat foot the bike now and the only issue with Soupy's was the center stand was nearly impossible to use without putting the rear tire on a 2x4 so I could get the leverage to move it...

    Considering returning to FJR

I did not know the FJR bags would fit. Interesting.
