    Considering returning to FJR

That is becoming a very popular question. Over the years, I've pretty much covered the board of Sport Touring bikes. Gold Wings, BMW (K&R), ST1300 and most recently a FJR. Loved them all. I have also, simultaneously, always had sport bikes. Like most, I'm an older guy but still love carving...

    Motorcycle Tip Over Winch

I do long rides by myself on heavy touring bikes. This year I went X-country California to Cape Code and back to Albuquerque. My one worry was that tip-over on the side of a back road while stopping for a leak. I started carrying one of those inflatable lift bags that the Jeep crowd use. It...

    FJR Forum Decal design

Perhaps consider two versions of the same image. One light and one dark. Black, full fairing bikes are harder to distinguish between brands in real life.

UPDATE: I'm back in California. My FJR is in Albuquerque, NM. Huh? I was in Pueblo, CO fixi'n to start my last leg via RT. 50. One of my favorite rides and I realized that it was the Friday start to the Memorial Day weekend. All the big-rigs had been replaced with camper trailers, motorhomes and...

Maybe eventually. The first thing I do is to find and buy a reasonably priced set of seats (front / rear). The condition of the seat covers doesn't matter. I'm about 3 days from home now. I think I know what I want for this one. That is the biggest part of the formula ... knowing what you want...

It still has the stock seat for now. Not bad. I'm about half way back across the country. Coincidentally, I'm in Kansas tonight. When I get back I'll read through this forum and see what has been already discussed to bits. Typically, I build my own seats. After a few decades I've figured out...

Thanks, I will. I have a long time buddy who lives there so I'm over there fairly often. Today I rode the new bike from Cape Cod to Columbus, Ohio. I'm more and more impressed. I'll get in touch.

North SF Bay Area. Great riding area and I've got too much junk to ever move.

Yeah, It already has. I'll be heading back to California starting on Monday (I think). Hopefully, I will have finished reading the owners manual by then ;-) My original plan was to give the ST to a couple of my lifetime buddies and fly back. But I like this new bike enough that I'm going to keep it.

Hello. I left home from Norther California a few days ago on my way to Cape Cod. I started out on my ST1300 (retired CHP bike). Just as I hit the Arkansas border it died, in flight. Ramp truck ride back to White Plains, MO and a diagnosis of fried alternator. Parts wait 3 weeks, estimated labor...
