I forgot to include the fuel usage results - almost as important as photos! First leg - 165 miles/3.8gal = 42.9 mpg - all freeway, cruise set @ 71mph Second - 103 miles/2.4gal = 42.9 mpg - mostly freeway Third leg - 212 miles/4.8gal = 44.0 mpg - Hwy 1 from San Luis Obispo to Big Sur and back. Approx. 150 miles of this was twisties, up and down with lots of acceleration & braking. Last leg 254 miles/5.4 gal = 46.8 mpg - this is the most surprising result as it involved freeway speeds (including passing a troublesome Maserati a couple times at "allegedly 85+mph"), climbing over a mountain, being stuck in stop & go traffic through Santa Barbara, and about an hour of 75+mph "flow of traffic". Overall: 732 miles @ 44.4mpg. What a fun day! Ps. In the "expenses expand to meet available resources" category: while I was gone yesterday, the CFO allotted the funds saved from not doing the Sparks gathering to... another cruise. There are worse things than the warm smile of my bride on the high seas. Catch y'all next time.
