I just pulled in from returning from riding the Tenere around Baja California so now its time to start planning the June Dakal ride. When I rode the Dakal last fall we had a couple wives meet us at Camp Cook for a fuel top off, which is around half way between Spearfish and the North end of the first couple days. As I come down from North Dakota maybe I could stow a gas can or two near Camp Cook so we could top of gas half way through the first day. I was going to ride my XR650L on this ride but yesterday while returning from Baja I fell in love with a Beta 500 RRS in Loveland CO and it became a stow away in the back of the trailer with my Tenere and Johns KLR. I'll have a larger fuel tank on it by June but I will likely need more than four gallons also. We'll figure something out now that I can focus on this ride.
