There is a 1/4 rod that goes thru the hole business with a cap screw on one end.Not to be trusted I am sure. So between that and the pinch bolts that is what is holding things together. I am sure I am not the only one with this issue. the wall thickness on the threaded adapter is very thin. the material seems to be soft also. I have an idea to fix it but it most likely won't happen until the next tire needs to be put on. I feel confident enough that it will hold up until then.</p><p></p><p>dave</p></blockquote><p></p>
