Just recently bought a 2008 fjr and found out its been lowered which causes the usual side and centre stand problems so decided to go back to standard. Genuine Yamaha standard dog bones bought which are for gen 2 and 190mm centre hole to centre hole long. The longer ones removed were 198mm long so quite a difference. They can be changed quickly on the centre stand with no need to support the bike. What a difference its made, better lean angle on the side stand and centre stand just needs body weight on the stand lever and on she goes with no effort at all. The back wheel is one inch / 25mm lower on the centre stand.
