[QUOTE="leebunyard, post: 282562, member: 330"] I did a search and found a lot of discussion re total ignition switch failures but didn't see anything about what I'm experiencing. I have an '04 FJR with about 34,000 miles on it. Put in a new Westco battery in October last year. I've noticed that occasionally when I go to start the bike cold and hit the start switch, the starter does not crank. When I release the switch and hit it again, the starter cranks full force and the bike starts right up. Once in awhile I've had to release and press the start switch a 3rd time before contact is made and the starter cranks. Once the bike starts and I ride it, it starts right up every time with the first hit on the starter switch. Any thoughts on this??? Maybe shoot some contact cleaner into the switch??
