Looks like good choices all near each other .....

I like visuals -and I'm sure when the time comes, I will have my head on other things besides searching out hotels and destinations -so I laid these out. Perhaps I'll add wayponts.

Booked Best Western right next door to you goof-balls at the Holiday Inn. I'll see you at your bar, for sure. (Got a better rate at BW w/ my Gov discount, plus I earn points).

Thank you Reno! That helped tremendously....and things are very close to the airport as a bonus.

My Dad lives in Goleta...near where the fires were. Wish I could make it. Hoist one for me.

My grandmother lives in Lompoc. I have the time off from work so I plan on driving out from Colorado on Thursday and staying with her on Friday night. I will come down on Saturday morning. I will be there for the events on Saturday and then heading out later that night for home.

Of course this all depends if winter has arrived in the high country by then.

I'm in. The low budget Motel6 is pricey. I can't even afford the Super8 or the Incredible9. Although real close to Bowling venue (thanks Reno John for the map).

learned my lesson last month! :p

If you have already voted and you did not get the pillion option please post and let us know that you will be +1. If you did use the voting buttons to report a pillion please DO NOT post....or that will mess up counts.
thanks

Richard
I will have my spousal unit with me.

We're in at the Hoiday Inn. Got the last room, should have paid more attention to the board but have been pretty bummed out the last few days.

Just booked at the Holiday Inn for Saturday night.

As he posted, Highlander did get the last room at the TB Memorial group rate and the person I spoke to was not sure if the Holiday Inn would release more rooms at that rate. However, for those who have yet to book, the Holiday Inn does have rooms available. I was quoted $163 and, after asking for the AAA rate, they quoted me $153 or only $4 more than the group rate for Saturday Night.

Edit Sept 1 - more rooms have been released at the group rate

Booked Holiday Inn for Saturday night. (already voted +1 for the events) Will meet up at one of the checkpoints for the ride. Let me know if I could help in any way.

Just wanted to mention something that Silver Penguin related on another thread here on our Forum. If reserving for just Saturday night at the Holiday Inn, use the telephone number to do so; the Internet booking won't let you do just Saturday.
Also, I recalled Tammy at Holiday Inn at Patterson Road five minutes ago, to reconfirm our non-smoking; only 5 rooms left!
Hey Don what are you talking about "Patterson Road" ?

I also found out that the bar at the HI closes at 9pm  so it's BYOB....
