Top Speed?

Anyone found a top speed on the FJR1300....(2006 or other)???

With/Without Bags?

My previous Blackbird would do 170mph and FZ1 was 154mph (GPS speed)

so say people on this site, somewhere around 155 if I remember correctly.

google.com says 152 w/o bags and 149 w/bags. Plus google.com knows everything.

I think you need at least 4 letters per word (for anyone who didn't know).

I only made it to page two, then I googled it

My '06 with bags does 140 in 4th gear....

Curiously, mine tops out at the posted speed limit.

Since that one would probably be a bit hard to find......reports vary by owner. GPS reports vary from 142 as a low top speed ('05) to 162 as a high top speed ('04) with most reporting in the 149 to 152 range. I've seen 149 on level ground with bags, big lights, and loaded. I saw 152 on a down slope. ('05)

BTW, since the thread I linked to above, I have hit a GPS top speed of 160mph on my FJR. How fast have you gotten yours up to?

My SiL taught me that his Daytona and my FJR both top out at 65 MPH. He's adamant about this limitation every time we get back home from a ride.

Notice how TexasFJR never answered the question of his personal top speed. It would have been a lie anyways. If you have to ask then what does that mean? Too chicken shit to try?
