The previous owner bought cheap Amazon mirrors and they fell apart but I could at least use them . I bought new ones that were supposed to fit and they look a lot better but don’t adjust and I’m looking at myself more than I am the road or cars behind me. Does anyone know where i can get good replacement mirrors that look good and work

New ones from a dealer that were the stock mirrors and they don't move at all? Or are they short and you're looking at your elbows?

If the former, buy a set of stock mirrors from a dealer. If the latter, buy a set FZ-1 mirrors (again....actual Yamaha mirrors) if you'd like something a bit longer.

The mirrors don’t move back enough to see the road. They slant inward and will not move back and I didn’t want to force them in fear of breaking them. I’ve looked for OEM and aftermarket and found next to nothing

Again, have you asked a Yamaha dealer?

It took me about one minute to find one on the various parts sources pinned and linked in the FAQ area. Not necessarily cheap, but easy. Pretty sure after only a few minutes more searching one can find a cheaper alternative or FZ-1 set.

You do know that the mirror adjusts at the outboard end of the stalk, right, not just hinged at the inboard? I'm asking because of the way you said they move inward, but won't move back. Sorry if it sounds condescending, I don't mean it to be.

I bought a set for the FZ1 and they were a waste of time and money, fortunately I used some creativity and I’m able to get my other new Emco mirrors to work

No problem, I see what your saying but I’ve adjusted them as far as possible, it’s just the way the set is made , I used some spacers in the mounting bolts and I believe I’m getting somewhere, thanks though

Which fz1 mirrors did you buy? Gen 1 or 2? The gen1 mirrors work great on a fjr.
