Playing around with Streets & Trips, i came up with a RAG (Ride Around Georgia) route -- staying as close to the state boundaries as reasonably possible, that comes out to a hair over 1100 miles. I've never ridden there so i don't know if that route is really feasible or not, given the time...

The seals on my '06 went around 30k last year, & the mech said i needed new bushings too. I don't have the tools or the know-how to take just the forks in, so it was somewhere around $300-400 for the repair. Yeah, it stung a bit, but it got done right. Happy so far at 43k.

Thanks for this nugget of info. I too had been contemplating a rewind because the throttle closure issue as you described. But if the end result in the difference between the unwind and the rewind is as noticeable as you describe -- even with the G2 (which i never did), then mine shall remain...

Very nice cast, indeed. In context, i thought the article was going to be about a new radar detector detector detector, until i saw a picture of the unit. I used one of those Spectre radar detector detectors to good effect for a coupla years before leaving the Patrol.
