    07 changes

Yes I'm in France & planning to buy an 07 so I do worry about it. Might I be better off buying from the UK? Never seen a Snipe here either. No politics and no religion, but Nationalist predjudice is OK? Try riding in France before you make any assumptions (you may be suprised by the advanced...

    Penguin elected PM

May I wish the Honourable Lady the congratulations from her European colleges here at the MTCE and express our fervent hope that her Atlanticaly Challenged constituents don’t get all confuzzled distinguishing a “silly walk” from a “long ride” walk. We also hope that she is able to re-establish...

Need Smoke Screen or Oil Slick

Mount a paintball gun zero'ed in to hit a screen at 20ft. Replace paintball load with greaseballs. They'll automaticaly hit the wipers and when the grease smears all over they'll have to back off. Rig it up off a button, all very 007

    FJR in Italion Alps!

If you can it would be great. Maybe show all the goldie, ventures, and Beemers how a bike should go round a corner. But be warned these guys arn't afraid of burning fairing plastic into the tarmac. Maybe you should pop into the MTCE forum if you have anything you want to know about riding in...

    Police style "crash" bars

Forget the siren as a one legged rider I could really do with those bars (Note I don't say I could really USE them :dribble: ) I don't carry passengers either (her indoors has her own bike) so I'd like that single seat, (which must be comfey for coppers to spend hours on) and the box for the...

    Broken tab

At 13 bucks I'd replace it for sure, but I'd still recomend having some plastex in the workshop. Working on this cheaper part would give some experience in using it for when a tab breaks on a $200 part.

    Broken tab

+1 on Plastex. I'm on my second pack (bought the pro/workshop size now).

    Bike Transportation

OK here's an idea. Bring the 04 over and ride it here in Europe then before you go home sell it. 04 FJR's are going at £6.500 to £8.000 in the UK ATMo (similar prices in Europe) which would be quite a lump to put on a new/er FJR back in the US. You'd probably face another £300-500 drop for it...

    Bike Transportation

If you bring a NEW bike into the European Union you will have to pay VAT (Value Added Tax) which is just like sales tax. However if you have bought and registered the bike previously in the US then you won't get taxed again. You can ride on your US plates for about a year before worrying about...

    305 kph

I'm looking forward to seeing how the FJR handles on the autobahn. My Venture starts to shimmy her butt around 125mph so I can't push to max. Meanwhile my mirrors fill with headlamp flashing black Audi and VW estates (station wagons) all the company reps run. Of all the various highways I've...

    The Ultimate FJR HEAT Fix!!

The leg came free from the UK NHS service sure, but it's actualy made in America. So like Harley it's a gamble getting it started in any weather :D :D I've not had the pleasure of an FJR the AS I'm getting in 07 will be my first. The millages I have planned for 07 I do hope that Iron Butt...

Would you buy again the AS ?

A UK Dealer told me the AS is flying off the shelves in the UK when I contacted them looking for the best cash price, so no discount offered. If it's selling that well then it may be there was a shortfall for the UK demand and Yam had to turn over some other colours over to UK dealers. Good...

    The Ultimate FJR HEAT Fix!!

The good old Brit National Health Service :) Even the kliktronic unit for changing gear was donated through the NABD. Though funnily enough charity regulations meant I couldn't recieve an adaption from the NABD during the 5 years I was their rep in Kent and later S/E England.

    The Ultimate FJR HEAT Fix!!

Nope I hereby claim your crown. My farkle works on all FJR's without lifting a wrench. It works on any bike with heat problems from the left. No hot ankle. No hot shin. No hot thigh. Didn't cost me a penny either.
