I found the camper I want and need to sell the bike to get it....
This FJR is in GREAT condition. It has new (800 mi.) Michelin 2CT tires, Heli risers, ThrottleMeister Cruise control bar ends, ASV Shorty control levers, HID headlights, and dual RAM mounts. I also have the Yamaha fitted travel...
They are defiantly different, but also way brighter. May just be that the others were old. It is an 05. I am ordering 4000k bulbs tonight so I can see te difference.
Gotcha. Luckily the kit is plug and play. If it starts tone an issue, I can easily switch back.
Maybe what I should do is switch the headlights back and just get HID driving lights. Something I can throw a manual switch on/off.
I will keep all this in mind. The tiny I did I thought was les drastic than most. I will look at the bizenon bulbs in the 32-4200k range and try those too just to be safe. The color is cool. Laying it down because I can't see properly would not be!
The kit I bought is street legal in 48 states...
So I thought a lot about it and searched around. Tonight I finally took the leap.
I searched a lot and found a full set of hi/low HID headlights on ebay for $58.00 shipped.
I thought if it did not turn out well $60 is worth the gamble to me. I received the kit in 3 days, and installed them in...
They are just hand tightened. I put thread lock on mine, and I don't think I could take it off very easily... its nice that I know I could take it off if I wanted to, but it fits tight enough to not worry about it.
All of the ones paid for have been shipped. I have 4 left here, and 2 pending now. if payment comes, I will be down to one. First one to PM and pay for it will get it. I also found the right side can be drilled and tapped to accept one. I may do that as I have another set aside for me already...
Cup holders, GPS, phones, iPod/MP3 players, just about anything you may want quick access to. I am using this one for my GPS and mounting another one on the right side for my iPhone.
