    Considering returning to FJR

If the angle does not change then it is a real pity. Many thanks for clarification.

    Considering returning to FJR

You may be spot on on this. I am also 59 now. My current Super Tenere is ergonomically perfect for me (I have installed Helibars and custom seat), but the engine is not what I enjoy. And if you are not doing offroad, then the engine sound/behavior is the biggest part of fun, which I am currently...

    Considering returning to FJR

Many thanks for the answers. As I wrote, I did have gen2 once for 9 years and there I had installed the Helibars triple clamp and also Topsellerie comfort gel seat. However, though it gave some relief, it did not completely cure the problems, at least not to the comforty level that I enjoy on...

    Considering returning to FJR

Hi guys. Its been some 5 years since I swapped from 2008 FJR AS to Super Tenere. ST has been no doubt much more comfortable, but I have found out that I do not do any off -road at all and there are not many gravel roads left in our country to exploit its versality. As for riding emotions, then...

My first take on Super Tenere

Hi guys. I was a regular follower of this fine forum for 10 years until I swapped my FJR last year to Super Tenere. I promised to post information about my impression about ST. So I did a tour to Germany a couple of weeks ago, see my write-up in ST forum here...

    Time for a new mistress

After long and cold winter I could finally do my maiden ride on the very new ST. Whoa, what a bike! I rode 9 years on FJR and thought that's as good as it can get. Well, no offense, but it feels to me that the Super Tenere is even better for me. Very comfortable riding position, good wind...

ECU flash for smoothness in 09 FJR?

I ordered the PCV for my 2008AE with smoothness map preinstalled. I told the seller of the PC that I need a smoothness map and they loaded it on before shipping. That cured all the throttel problems.

Shifting AE Smoothly and Hesitation at Low RPM?

the best way to smooth the off idle stumbling is to install Power Commander with a smoothness map. I did it together with spring rewind and trhottle tamer, but the PC really cured the problem.

the day has come, sold FJR

I have been following this fine forum since I bought by FJR in 2009. What a wonderful place with lots of fun and advice! Now, since i bought new S10 I decided to sell my 2008 FJR AS (ES in Americas), I simply can't afford enough attention to both of them. Yamaha dealer offered me €3000 as a...

    Time for a new mistress

After 9 years of pretty close and faithful relationship to my FJR 08 AS I decided to upgrade to mistress 2.0. Here she is on the assembly board: the Super Tenere 2018 XT1200ZE Raid edition. It will stay at the dealership until spring though (riding season is over here) and I can go there every...
