Austin's latest report for Day 9 is very telling - he notes that there are more points available for the Leg 3 Capitols then for completing the 4 corners. Given this info and the fact Meese and Peek are continuing their 4 corners quest, they may have concluded the following:
a) the non-Alaskan...
Austin just posted on LDR that both Meese and Peek went for KW.
This is going to be a great finish!
Jeff - how aware are the top dogs of each others positions and strategies at this point in the rally?
Warchild - Is there any way we can get public spot views on Frens and Meese? If not can we get some periodic location updates on them? Clearly one of these two guys is going to win this thing.
It would seem from your previous comment that Austin, Denver, Carson City and Sacramento combined...
I suspect some of the FD changes are precautionary mixed with a small dose of paranoia (which may be inferred or more appropriately described as informed skepticism).
Ya know, just sayin'....
That was also how I interpreted Austin's comments although I am troubled by his comment about someone picking up corner 3 on leg 2 will have a clear advantage over the rest of the field. To me that implies Hyder could really be the red herring and in reality, Meese has a deficit of 1,621 points...
I wonder how many of the non-Alaskan contenders turned 2 corners in leg 1? Would Meese and Peek assume they had and thus force themselves to at least turn the 2nd corner in leg 2? Or if you were Meese and Peek would you abandon 4 corners after leg 1 by trying to increase your lead as much as...
Holy shit, Meese rode 2,000 miles farther than the lowest mileage rider in the field. The man is insane. He avg'd somewhere round 55 mph start to finish. :dribble:
Yep, wasn't paying attention when I set the charge rate which is even worse considering my Schumacher is full auto detect and gets the charge rate right 100 out of 100 times. :dumb:
Anyways, I'm going with the factory replacement so it should do me well - still feel bad about accidently...
