    2007 AE rear shock removal

Hi all, Trying to remove rear shock from my 2007 AE and wondering if anyone has any tips/info/instructions. Specifically the top shock bolt. I have the full shop manual but it's no help. It looks to me like I need to remove the shift actuator on the left side to get access to the bolt...

    Going to the Dark Side

I put the exalto on with my harbor freight changer. It wasn't a problem at all.

    New FJR Model

I still think the FJR is one of the best looking bikes out there. I don't like ANY of the other sport-tourer type bikes styling as much. I'd buy another just like it in a heartbeat.

Additional Brake Lights - Which Ones?

I agree. This is a great setup. I have the LIN3 and also Hyperlites by the license plate.

    Repeated Engine Quitting!

You can get to it if you have the harness disconnected going to the front fairing/dash. Then you can partially pull that bundle up and access it. When I did that, I could easily replace that complete spider. But without pulling that harness upwards like I did, there is no way I could have...

Intermittent loss of power at high speed

Over the weekend, I pulled all the Tupperware, replaced plugs with new NGK iridiums, changed oil, and checked all the spiders. ( and every other connection I could find) I did not see a single sign of a problem, BUT I went ahead and removed all 8 of them. Cut each one off, stripped, twisted...

Intermittent loss of power at high speed

It made my headlight come back on :) Both high and low beam on the left are back. (well, not from ignition switch wires, I reach up under the dash area and was moving everything around in there.) Didn't make the engine stop though.

Intermittent loss of power at high speed

I've pulled the tank and the 4 spider connectors I can get to there all look good as far as I can tell, still have dielectric grease, i don't see any signs of corrosion or heat damage. I hooked the tank up and cranked it. No amount of messing with any of those 4 connectors caused any cut outs...

Intermittent loss of power at high speed

This evening I had two short hesitations within a couple miles of work, then 45 miles with no issues at all. I ran through all the diagnostics on the computer, an easy place to start before I start tearing into things, which I won't really be able to do fully until the weekend. Battery...

Intermittent loss of power at high speed

Thanks guys. So the spider/ground issue does NOT result in a loss of electrical power? That's why I was thinking fuel related because my GPS stays fully powered, and I'm not seeing anything on the dash to indicate a disruption of electrics. ( because of that, I've not researched the spider...

Intermittent loss of power at high speed

The last couple days I've been having an issue with the FJR, hope I can get some ideas on what the issue is. I have about 55,000 miles on my 2007 AE and it's never missed a beat. It's been running great, gas mileage the same as always. Ridden 5 days a week, not been sitting at all...

    Antlers are AWESOME!

Imagine my disappointment when clicking on this thread expecting to find pictures along the lines of this... (Taken by my wife with her phone a couple weeks ago.) And it's just a discussion of MIRRORS! :D

    Going to the Dark Side

5,000 miles on the Michelin Exalto at his point. Completely trouble free and at this point I have 100% confidence in pretty much all conditions. I can easily lean far enough to drag pegs, have had time in the rain at speed with no issues. I've settled on 32 psi for the Exalto and run a...
