    Old and Slow

If I'm on the FZ6 I can snap in and out of turns very easily; move to the FJR and it is big difference. I learned a long time ago to never worry about what the others of my group are doing and focus instead how I am going to attack the road, the turn, the traffic. If the group gets a far...

    Montana Trip

Let's see, 3 to 4 day trip from Flathead and some neat scenic roads. My recommendations would be HWY 93 South to Hamilton MT which is about 120 miles (from Polson). Then take off east on HWY 38 (Skalkaho Highway) and stop off in Philipsburg for the candy shoppe (if it is still open, have not...

    What a difference!

I think the price is a little high as well by about $1000 to $1500. I think they are priced high so that you will feel good about the purchase after negotiating for a reasonable amount. I would not be surprised if you bought it for $8000.

Torn: To buy or not to buy

I commute every day to work and I have not regretted the FJR purchase once. Ergonomically while it is different than both a racer and a cruiser it is still a very stable and comfortable riding position. As for two up my wife says that she is no man's decoration so I had to buy her a bike but...

    How old were you?

During a nice snowy Butte Montana winter (sometime around January) when I was 17 I bought a 1978 500cc Yamaha street bike. Shoved it in the back of my friend's truck to take it home and when the snow was melted enough I brought it out into the street and learned how the clutch worked in...
