    Seriously Injured fellow FJR'er

I agree with FJR13k, Thank God you (Scout and Roamer) were there to look for him, find him, get help to him as quickly as possible and stay by his side until help arrived. Prayers and best wishes to Dennis and his family for his continued healing. Sounds like he has a great family there to...

    service providers recomendations

Hey Paul, another FJR rider in Edmonds! I have had good experience with any service I have had done at Adventure in Monroe, but I have also had a few things done at Seattle Cycle Service and have been very happy and they are much more conveniently located in Mountlake Terrace. Just off of...

What's a still in the crate 2007 worth?

"A '06 blue (non-ABS) and a '07 Silver, both are AE's" That 06 if it is blue is not an AE, 06 AE was silver just like the 07

So what's it like to ride an AE FJR?

I agree with all the comments and would not hesitate to purchase an AE model again. One thing I didn't see mentioned is the stock heated grips on the AE version which I love. Coming from a BMW and riding year around in WA I knew I wanted that feature and the fact that it was already on the...

    $406,000 Deer Kill

I rode the Cascade loop about a month ago and didn't notice that sign but did have a deer run across in front of me. I was heading east on 20 and probably 3-4 miles before Winthrop. Luckily the deer started on the left side of the highway (giving me more time) and the car behind me wasn't...

    HEAT!

Last week my bike read 109 on I-5 heading north from Seattle. I was really getting tired of driving through the smoke from that fire twice a day for about 4 days! Also traffic was much slower than usual due to stalled cars that couldn't handle the heat.

    2nd Annual Magical Mystery Tour

Nice pics, thanks for posting. I'm going to have to check out some of those roads. Very familiar with hwy 2 but never have explored much on the roads close to it. Did your ride include taking the bikes across that wood bridge? :D

Does the FJR1300 make a good daily commuter?

In total agreement that the FJR is a great commuter!! From Edmonds to South Seattle every day. Find I leave the heated grips on from about October through April and the AE version is nice in heavy stop and go traffic. Good rain gear is a must and is almost always in the side case ready to use...

How do you “Long Distance” guys concentrate???

Sounds like you have some great areas to ride in! I enjoy day rides around my state in the 300-400 mile range and what I find helps me concentrate on the ride is to keep evaluating and re-evaluating my position in relation to the other traffic and road conditions. For example while on the...

    PNW SPring Tech Meet

Yes thank you Bryan, Great garage to accommodate all the bikes! Must have had at least half a dozen in different stages of accessorizing. It was nice meeting a bunch of the local riders. I got rain both on the way down and going back home but It was worth the trip!

    Caseless in Seattle

Ok good to know, thanks Silverbullet. I'm going to stop by the tech meet in the area on Saturday on hopefully some of the more experienced FJR riders will help me check to see where the settings are now and what direction I might want to adjust them.

    Caseless in Seattle

I agree.........I totally understand the logic of with a lighter rider the weight of the bags is a higher percentage of total load and with a heavier rider percentage wise it makes a very small difference. I think what I was trying to convey in my earlier post was more in the difference of...

MY FJR IS KILLING ME !!!!

So glad you are enjoying the ride much more now. In regards to the Lee Parks "Total Control" course, I have had several friends take that course and really enjoy it. I would strongly recommend you get as much riding time as you can before the course so that you can continue to relax more and...

    PNW SPring Tech Meet

I like Hawiian or the meat pizza, looking forward to meeting folks and watching bikes come apart! Mine is staying together this time but will be asking questions about suspension adjustment and learning about this fuse block stuff and more. So far all I have added to the bike is sliders and a...
