Zumo 550 has my vote - had one for well over a year and continue to use many of the features (ties into the bluetooth phone works well with Starcom1). Take a look at www.zumoforums.com and www.poi-factory.com for other opinions and information.

You can buy the Zumo headset cable - SH-550S and use it to plug into the MP3 player. AS far as FRS, so much is dependent on the radio and brand. You might be able to use the same cable if you can plug in the audio mic independently (then run VOX). Hope that helps.

The relay is to prevent the power to the grips from being hot at all times (literally). I used a Blue Sea for my Honda heated grips and have power to it switched via a relay that is only engaged when the bike is running. Chances are good your grips came with an in-line fuse and you should not...

I was $11,500 out the door. As noted the service was poor, they were clueless on the bike and it took a long drawn out effort to get the bike. The Manager who sold me the bike is now gone so I expect they are back to list price plus.
