    2022 FJR Powder Coat

Thank you for the reply. Its very good data for sure. I wonder if you should not use WD-40 for the clear coat? Not that I go around cleaning everything with WD, I'm just curious as to the PC's durability.

    2022 FJR Powder Coat

Hi, thank you for your replies. I thought there were 4 types of PC. Epoxy, Hybrid, Polyurethane and Polyester. What are the advantages/disadvantages of the types? I don't know. I asked b/c I restored a BMW a few years ago and had the wheels and several parts PC'd. I did not have the parts...

    2022 FJR Powder Coat

Love the work. Very nice indeed. So for the wheels you have to take out the bearings correct? And the brakes, did you have to split the calipers? Did you clear coat the calipers as well? Since I live in Mass I wouldn't go to your Powder Coater, however there are a few different types of PC. Do...

Do you need a little more HEIGHT for your shoes?

That's peculiar you have that experience. I have the exact same inseam and usually tip toe at lights, however when my wife rides on the back and I stop I can easily flat foot both shoes. Wonder why that is.

    MRA VarioScreen Windshield-Anybody Use One?

I think the MRA VarioScreen-Max Windshield would work very well. And if my V-Stream ever needed replacement I would consider the Vario. I first tried the small wing-let type add-on screen on my FJR in 2019 and I could not be happier with the product. Now all our bikes have them. My...

    New to me 2016

Congrats on the 2016 FJR. I bought my 16 in 2019 and have never regretted the decision. It has been a fantastic bike. I enjoy the heck out of it. The info and resources here and on the sister sight have been invaluable to me and made my riding experience with the bike very enjoyable. Joe

FJRF013.2: Recall ECU Reprogram (Post Trans Recall) (2016-2021)

Just picked up my 2016 from the recall. Put the fairings back on and took it out for 25 miles Sunday ( I live in Mass.). The Bike shifted great and with more than enough power. It's so much FUN. I don't know if the shop I took the bike to did the ECU reflash and did not ask. I'm looking...

    Survey Says, "Busa, You Ugly!"

Every time I see the HDPA from the front I can't help but think the Industrial Design team used the "Lost in Space" B-9 Robot as motivation for the Headlight design. Ohh, The Pain!

Gen III Side Panel Removal with Charcoal Canister

Agreed!  I removed mine when I installed a PDM and some other items.  Its been 10K miles since then and no hiccups.  I remember there were two hoses that connected to the throttle bodies that were a pain to remove as they were snaked around the valve cover to the throttle bodies.  I cant...

    Heated Seat Element

I bought a DIY kit from Amazon and installed it myself.  It wasn't all that difficult.  The kit was $30 and the switch covers were $6.  Since I do not ride with a passenger I installed the passenger element on both my seats; the stock one and the comfort seat I have.  Overall I am very happy...

    FJR Webpage Updated

Greg, Nicely done.  I checked out your site and when you buy a bike you don't screw around with the accessories. I read your analysis of the X-Creen product as I am contemplating it as well.  Thanks, Joe
