Has anyone else here ever added a suspending pin to their MC Enterprises Canyon Cages to ease front end maintenance?

snip... I do a lot of the maintenance myself but, fo the items I don't do (tyres and bearings) My mechanic uses a jack under the headers with a piece of wood to spread the load and that works just fine...

Steering Head Roller Bearing - Upgrade or Boondoogle?

I've just replaced my OEM steering head bearings at 26,000 km (~16,000 miles) as they starting to "notch". The new bearing are tapered roller bearings and they have transformed the frontend of the bike. She is now utterly stable at all speeds - all shakes and wobbles etc. have gone.

    Signalling Fuse

Earlier FJRs came with two stock horns (my manual still shows two horn positions though only one has a horn fitted). Therefore, there are two "recesses" and mounting points on either side of the radiator to accommodate horns. Also, as the original specification was for two horns, the electrics...

Mixing Michelin Road 6 GT and 4 GT?

There are a number of opinions re tyres on the internet, probably well over a billion (hence the jibes you received), so trying to find the correct answer is actually quite difficult. Having ridden motorcycles for a living (and for over 40 years for fun) when your income depends on things like...

Trunk lid retention mount broke, repair options or suggestions?

It happened to me in exactly the same place. I bonded and screwed a metal washer (with a bolt bolted to it) to the outer plastic broken bit. Not as clean as I would like but has been working OK for about a year. I'll try and take some photos...

Rotor bobbins still a little tight after cleaning

He is extremely clever indeed. Though, sometimes, he forgets us mere mortals aren't as clever and can unintentionally (and sometimes intentionally) denigrate us sometimes.

Rotor bobbins still a little tight after cleaning

Yes, but not how they show it on YouTube... I use a soft brush with car shampoo in water to clean my wheels and I lightly brush the brake disks at the same time. Simples... Also, I use a soft toothbrush with a little car shampoo in water followed by brake cleaner and a dry cloth to clean and...

    Anyone use tank bags?

SW-Motech Pro Tank Bag (https://sw-motech.co.uk/collections/pro-tank-bags/products/pro-micro-tank-bag-3-5-l) - requires a Pro Tank Ring on the filler cap. The bag doesn't touch the tank at all and is very easy to install. Mine has the Molle phone thingy which I usually use as a map pocket when...

I'm looking for a diagram showing the "rider triangle" or "motorcycle triangle" for the FJR.

You can change the position on the Handlebars closer to you on the FJR. It's not a large adjustment but it made the difference for me. You can also fit 1" risers without lengthening the cables etc...

    Gel in seats

Ah, if you're in the saddle for a long time, the standard one would be very slightly more comfortable.

    Gel in seats

You would probably benefit from the lowered gel seat especially if you want to have more of your foot on the ground, it depends on how often you put your foot down... Or, you can do like me, shift your body slightly to one side when you stop so you can "flat foot". I'm very happy with lowered...
