Vstrom 1000 handguards with Garauld extensions. Slap them on with zip ties.  Easy.

R-Gaza makes a good set of engine and saddlebag guards.  Have a set on my Gen I.

Just had my 16K service done at a dealer near Seattle.  Did the full Yamaha checklist for service (except for coolant change as I did myself) for $1,000 out the door.

Folks, resurrecting this thread. Have a Gen I FJR and just purchased the handguards in anticipation of the cold rainy riding season in the PNW. Some people are simply zip tying the handguards on and some are buying bolts, nuts and washers and installing. Been to this great website...

I scored a galaxy blue Smuggler off eBay. Have a Givi top trunk and a SR346 mount. Hope it fits.
