Is a FJR a money thing?

Yea, BMW, nice riding bikes... until they break and the nearest repair shop is 3-4 hours away. Must by willing to wait on parts, and give up a kidney for the repair. My '07 FJR, regular maintenance and can be repaired anywhere.

    Rear crash bars

Well, found a small design flaw with the police bars. If you practice low speed maneuvers a lot avoid this style. The left side s-shaped bracket will fatigue and collapse into the crank case cover. This happened to me after the 3rd drop. the bolt gouged out a nice little hole causing a small...

    Rear crash bars

Well a tad late.... I picked up a set of RGaza police styled bars. Instructions are uh, well vague. Got them off E-bay from a US seller. Have a set of T-Rrex bars for the rear which came them. Both are solid sets. The advantage of the T-Rex bars is the addition of an expendable/replaceable...

If you couldn't have an FJR what would be the next best thing?

    Spot for ram mount

Yes, according to Yamaha those are all good. Same for the CCT. An ECU re-flash is on the to do list. I have friends who have had there bikes done and they highly recommend it.

    New to Me 2007

One very loved and well kept FJR...the previous owner was nice enough to update all the lighting to LEDs, replaced the stock horn, new wind screen and kept detailed maintenance records. Now if it would just stop raining........

    Hello from Virginia

Well, I just picked up a new to me 2007 FJR. I got spoiled when I had borrowed a friends BMW R1200 recently and found my little Vulcan 750 needed an upgrade. Looking forward to many miles of fun running up and down the east coast.
