Motorcycle For Sale Trade FJR for FZ1 (or similar)

I'm interested in trading my FJR for an FZ1 (or similar). I'm looking for a lighter, more sporty bike. The FJR is a great bike; I just don't ride it like I was planning (two up touring). My background is sportbikes and trackdays. While I'm no longer doing trackdays, I do miss my more sport...

Trade: Your Gen 1 for my Gen 2

Hi there. Thanks for the info. This is the first bike I’ve had with linked brakes. I come from the world of sportbike and track bikes, all of which had traditional 2 lines up front and one line in the rear. Also, no ABS. If I could find someone with a low mileage non ABS Gen 1 who wanted a low...

Trade: Your Gen 1 for my Gen 2

Hey gang, Is anyone interested in trading a low mileage Gen 1 for my low mileage (21,000) Gen 2? I don’t like the linked ABS braking system. I prefer the simplicity of separate front and rear systems. Location is in MO

    Gen2 headlight adjusters stripped

I also have a Gen 2 and I've turned my adjusters many, many turns; no changes. This is the first bike I've had that has these adjusters on them. I ride solo 99.9% of the time, and in daylight 98% of the time. If I can't get mine figured out, I'll pull them off and bin them.

Headlight adjusters: do they do anything?

Do the headlight adjusters really do anything? I’ve fiddled with mine, giving them several turns each way, and I can’t seem to tell a difference. There’s some “resistance” when I’m turning the knobs, so I’m sure the cable isn’t broken (I only at 21,000 miles). This is the first bike I’ve had...

Well crap, no green dot CCT (2008)

I tried to look at all sides but had a little trouble. I might look again later. I’ve got 21,000 miles on my 2008.

Out of curiosity I checked my CCT. No green dot. I’m doomed. Crap!

Gen 2 side vents: how to remove them?

How do you completely remove the adjustable side vents on a Gen II? I can open them a bit, but can’t seem to remove them from the larger side fairing. Any tips?

Gen 2 Fork Disassembly - Advice required

Thanks. I've never rebuilt forks before, but I'm pretty competent with tools and really want to give this a try myself. I know some guys say it's a bear of a job, and others say it's not too bad as long as you're methodical about it and take your time. A local shop near me quoted me ~$300-350...

Gen 2 Fork Disassembly - Advice required

I'm looking to do my forks this fall. Is it possible to loosen the 8mm socket cap screw at the bottom of the forks BEFORE removing the cap?
