    Just bought my 1st FJR

2 things about about the '06: 1- You are going to LOVE it. 2- Don't ride your friend's 2013 or newer with cruise control, the experience will ruin your '06. Just sayin', IMHO.

    Gen3 OR Gen4

I picked up my first FJR in Nov '22, a '17-ES. I wanted the 6th gear which is also more of an overdrive than 5th gear on the previous gen. The final drive ratio (gears at the wheel) was also lowered for better highway fuel mileage and lower revs at a given speed. It had the Yammie matching top...

    Pit-Bull TRS for the FJR

I've used the TRS system for over 10 years on my R-1 race bike. ROCK SOLID, PERIOD. Glad to hear they make the 'pins' for the FJR now. This is simply the best set up out there. FYI- make sure your wood trailer floor isn't rotted out. They are a little pricey and you'll see they are worth it...

    Selling? Handling Test Ride Requests

Have them give you half the cash (kind of a deposit) and he/she can have the money back if it comes back clean but doesn't like/want it... Or he/she can pay you the other half and drive it away.

Rear shock adjustment - are you kidding me?!!

Had a Penske on another bike, best money I ever spent on it. Big benefit is the separately adjustable high and low speed compression damping AND Penske services their stuff. Not sure if the Penske (or Hagon, HyperPro, Wilbers, etc.) have a hydraulic preload adjuster knob like the Ohlins. I guess...

    2014 with serious problem

I think this one has multiple issues. Another thing to always check are the tank vent lines for blockage/ kinks. IMHO, the compression #s seem weird and (if the batt is older than 2 years) needs to be replaced too. Happy hunting... I don't think there is a silver bullet, single answer to solve...

    2014 with serious problem

Everyone above seems on the right path. 1-New battery for sure. 2- We're assuming the oil level is correct. 3-Compression test (as mentioned) seems suspicious. 4- SOMETHING NO ONE HAS MENTIONED.... Pop the tank and unbolt the fuel pump. Check the screen! It's something I've seen often on 10 year...

    Fuel gauge questions

I think they have such a large "reserve" (when the F-Stop count up starts) because this bike may be in the middle of God Forsaken No-Where-ville with a station not just around the corner. Regardless, it can all be planned for.

    Mazda oil filter

So do you think the M1-110 should be used if clearance is not an issue as it has more volume and would in theory have more surface area to filter (especially after the filtering surface starts to get obstructed)?
