Well, the update is....it works! Mostly. The bike starts like a Yamaha should...every time. However my bike had a red LED which lit up when the bike started, then extinguished once the bike was running. Once you stopped the bike, the LED would flash every 3 seconds for 24 hours, then went out...

Excited now! Package came while I was away on holidays. So bike is at the dealer. Update to follow.

Still waiting for this little PCB to arrive from China. Guess paying four bucks for shipping doesn't really speed things up. Sigh.

Follow up now. I've still had the same problem, regardless of which key, including the master red key, I use. Posed the problem to my local dealer. Service manager came up with 2 solutions.1:replace the immobilizer at $450cad plus Labour. 2:order an immobilizer emulator from China for $10cad...

I've been in the hills and mountains of new england as well as the sago- nay in Quebec. The bike has always run perfectly, never missed a beat. Now with the Hindle on, it even sounds great. So I'm a little reluctant to drop 275 on an ECU when I have what appears to me a good working one...

Further update....thanks to Fred W. 's post on removing the ball bearing out of the gas cap and the key interlock. Things have been fine since cleaning the tank top and doing Fred's modification. Happy to hear my Hindle once more!

As an update, I blew out the rubber grommetted hole and the mated vent hole in the cap. Today it started and ran perfect everytime. However I did find the gas cap maintenance thread, which I'm going to act on. Thanks for your help. Fingers crossed....
