I bought a klr about 2 years ago to go along with my fjr. I had it for a bit and sold it for a dr650, sold it for ktm 690. The 690 is an absolute blast to ride and I find the fjr sitting most of the time. Around town and off road the ktm is awesome. I keep the fjr for long distance trips...

No tech day and yes the laam seat is great. I used it last year on a 6k mile ride but like I said, I havent found any to be comfortable all day every day. Even a car seat is not.

My battery died in my 2014 at 33000 miles. I replaced it with a motobatt from ebay for $70. Cheap insurance.

Like I mentioned, I have a laam which is a great seat but none are comfortable for back to back 500 mile days. I bought a front and rear alaskan sheep skin for a bit of added comfort. Going from S Ga to seattle next month so I wanted a little extra padding.

Their is a major difference in my 2014 between the 2. I use sport all the time.

Anyone use the alaskan sheep skin with the laam seat? Does the recommended size fit?

My oem battery just died on my 14 after 33k miles. I replaced it with a mottobatt. Cant comment on it yet since its been in for a week but it had good reviews on line.

Pushed it out of the way so I could get the mustang out of the carport. lol I will be riding it to work tomorrow though
