I read about Dale's passing earlier this year and was saddened. I met him several years ago when two buddies and I toured his museum. He was very gracious and yes fired up a couple of bikes to show us they ran. He was quite an ambassador of the motorcycle community and will be greatly missed.
I do not mean to piggyback this thread, but I also have an undamaged rider and passenger Gen II stock seat available if someone missed out on rmcobb's seat.
This exact same thing happened to me as well, but I did not have a tether on it. Before I turn around and pick it up, a car ran over it. I learned an expensive lesson. I only keep my phone in my pocket now and use via Bluetooth. I get my map/directions from my hardwired Garmin Zumo.
Hi All, I am not sure if many people know about this, but I thought I would mention it.
Bridgestone is offering $60 Rebate on a pair of Motorcycle tires until 4/30/20 ...
Thank you to all with their feedback! I will explore those suggestions. I did a forum search prior to the post and found only a couple of items, maybe I did not use enough words. Stay safe everyone.
Hi,
i usually keep the FJR tucked in the garage in front of the car when not in use, but I also have an uncovered exterior patio when use is frequent. The patio is very convenient. I like to keep the saddlebags on the FJR and wish to see what other FJR riders use to cover down to the tires...
I have an extra brand new mounting plate for GIVI topcase, but I am not sure if it will fit your V46.
I will try to send you information via email to see if it will work for you.
Hi,
I have a new to me 2008 with about 15k miles. I notice the engagement is very close to the hand grip. I would like to have it engage further out from the grip.
Does anyone know if this can be done?
Thanks!
I picked up a real nice low mile 2008 FJR a few weeks ago. I have been riding about 40 yrs, had more than 25 bikes but never a FJR. I really like it, looking forward to many miles ahead and gaining knowledge from fellow Feejers on this forum. :)
Route66 and Ntxfjr thanks for the info! I think the LEDs are a great item but also agree the slipper clutch may not affect me as I am not a high performance rider. The 2015 has notable upgrades to what I am riding. I think the updated safety equipment alone makes it worthwhile.
