    Put on new Decals

Ordered a set for my 07' and the bike took on a whole new look. The rear reflectors makes all the difference at night.

    tire mileage

Just replaced the rear tire at 9100 miles. Remember when you change the tire, do the driveshaft maintenance!! Warchild has a great set of instructions at the following link. https://www.fjrtech.com/getdbitem.cfm?item=36 I have an 07' and the pictures looked just like the one Warchild took.

    600 mile service + 1 more

After the initial 600 mile service, you jump to 4k, 8k, 12k, etc. If you're handy at all, order a service manual and start collecting some tools. Your best bet is to do the service yourself. When I had my 600 mile service done, I got an oil and filter change for $200.00! If you study this...

    Fans not working?

The fans should kick in at 8 bars. Hot days in south Florida, my fans kick on at stop lights. Never had more than 8 bars. The fans do a great job cooling.

    #4 Exhaust Pipe - Blue

My 07' has 4800 miles on it and I have noticed that the right side pipe is very blue compared to the left. The #4 pipe coming out of the cylinder is a darker blue than the other 3. I did a TBS at 2600 miles. Is this something to be concerned about?

    Best website to buy helmets???

If you are up for a ride, head to Memphis and check out Cycle Gear. I have one in the area and they have every kind of helmet you want. Besides helmets, they are a superstore for bike stuff. Cycle Gear Store #74 Andrew - Team Leader 6343 Summer Avenue Memphis, TN 38134 (901) 371-9692

    Dropped my FJR, DOH!!!

Sliders should be part of the basic package on the bike before it leaves the dealership! A farkle that costs less than $70 buck that can save hundreds of dollars in parts and labor..............

    Failure to Look Cool

You can get the paint at Color Rite. Here is the link for the paint. I have used them in the past and the paint matches great. https://www.colorrite.com/CRPLfactoryColors...;imageField.y=9

    How fast have you been

153 indicated as my buddy on his 07 Kawi ZX-14 went by at 185! My bike was still wanting to go a bit faster but may a buck fifty is just fast enough for me.

    Fz1 vs FJR

Mine are both 07's and the FZ1 is great fun to jump on and go like hell. It's much quicker and very easy to throw around in the corners. The other advantage is that my wife can now ride with me. She loves how light the bike is compared to the FJR.

    Cost of 4000 mile service

I took use the stealer for the 600 mile service and spent $200 on an oil change. If you are handy with tools, the best thing you can do is buy a service manual and dig in. I have found that the dealers give the bike a quick once over and charge you out the @$$. Like the other posts, the 4K...

    My first FJR

You will not be disappointed when you climb on for the first time. This has got to be one of the best looking bikes on the road today and there is nothing like pulling up somewhere and having people stop and look at the bike. It is a real head turner. I also agree the black is really going to...

FJr The perfect bike for 30 - 60 degree riding

Have to agree with RadioHowie! The FJR is a great all season bike, but in south Florida, you just get HOT! When I ride, I always have all the protective gear on, but down here it serves as protective gear and weight loss gear. I have had my 07' for about 4 months and I can't wait for the...

    Vaccum Cap Keepers

Did my TBS a few weeks ago, and lost one of the clips. They are not really needed but if you are a freak about the bike (and I am) I ordered a replacement set. Here is the diagram of the intake section of the engine. The part is #26 on the diagram. They are only a $1.55.
