With the new battery, I took the bike down to Key West and not one problem with the battery. I rode 450 miles round trip in 10 hours. What a nice ride! I guess that the battery was the problem.

I think that I will go with the Topmaster and the Shad 50. Thanks for the help. Just worried about the subframe cracks...

I am thinking of getting the Shad with the Topmaster. Does anyone have a pic of one (topmaster) on a gen1? I am trying to decide if that is strong enough, or should I get a Gerauld rack to mount it to. Opinions? Pics?

I did check both at the same time. I did read here that the diag voltgage should be 12.4, so I assume that there is a wiring problem. I may have to re-seat some wiring connectors, but I would not know where to start or which ones would be best to try first. I will try a long ride (2hours+)...
