I am new to the FJR. Today after riding adout two hours, when I got home I noticed that my Left heel had been resting on the exhaust pipe. Melted a good part of my boot heel. Does anyone know of a guard or something that might help prevent this? I thought I saw something but can not find it now...

I got a chance to see the Black at a local dealer. It looks realy good to me. I had a black ST1100, black does show dirt and flaws, but looks great clean. The thing about the 08 FJR black is the it has metalic in the paint. In the sun you can realy see the metalic - nice look, great bike.

I have a 06 V-Strom 650. There is a bracket made by MADSTAD Engineering for $89.95. The bracket works Great. If you check out most any of the V-Strom forums you will see most everyone realy likes the bracket.
