    Gave up the Feejer

Thanks to all for such great information and lively discussions! I have enjoyed the FJR but physical conditions have prevented me from riding it the way I'd like to. So traded it for a cruiser! As I go thru the garage I'll post whatever parts and accessories I may find.

    Recovery after knee surgery

Well the right knee hasn't improved as much as I'd hope but is better than it was. I'm not able to ride the FJR so am getting around on the GL1800. And I'm scheduled to have arthroscopic on the other knee next week. So anyhow I'll know by the end of the season whether I'll put the FJR up for...

    Insurance

Wow, I just saved about $400 by switching from Liberty Mutual to Progressive-now cost $1500 yr for Goldwing. Not riding the FJR till my knee heals more.

    Recovery after knee surgery

All right guys, thanks! My injury is not bike related either but didn't make for enjoyable distance riding. I'll see how this goes then Doc wants to do the other knee afterwards. Guess I gotta explain to him about riding-sometimes they just don't get it!

    Recovery after knee surgery

Just wondering if anyone has had arthroscopic knee surgery and how soon were you able/OK'd to ride after? Just had cartilage, ligaments, torn miniscus repaired and hoping to be riding by mid-May. How was the therapy? Thanks

    Holeshot Map

I asked the dyno guy, Jessie at Seacoast Cycle about that-he said the filter should be OK....but since you mentioned it I'll check. Yes I did remove the db killers (deeper sound)and had the dyno done. I haven't checked the mpg yet but am sure it's a lot better now.

    Holeshot Map

Hey all, I have installed the complete Holeshot exhaust system which has lessen the heat coming up. I recently rode with over 500 bike down in New orleans and was able to wear my mesh gear with no problems!! Actually the mesh was my riding gear for that trip. I installed the db killers...

    Gen II heat management

Well, I re-checked under the tank and the factory pieces of foam on the side panels. All is good. So I called Dale (Holeshots) who assured me that his system would reduce the heat...now waiting for delivery of headers and pipes!! Has anyone with a Gen II did this install? Problems with...

    Gen II heat management

Yeah that's just the problem- I was in Ohio a couple weeks ago when I first noticed the heat-had CCM in Wilmongton check it out but as long as the fan did kick in the service said it's OK. But I have had the bike since 07 ....... haven't been in temps over 95 but getting 3/4 bars now.

    Gen II heat management

All right then, thanks for the fast responses!! Just didn't remember my bike getting so hot last summer. I guess my new mesh pants has to go back in the closet.

    Gen II heat management

OK.. I have searched the PRT's and used the FJR search engine but am hoping to get more specific answers. My 2007 FJR1300 is throwing out a lot of heat! The metal between the gas tank and side fairing gets almost too hot to touch and the side fairing get immensely hot!! The heat on my legs is...
