TIRES?? What tires are everyone running on their FJR?

I just put on Dunlop Mutants. I have about 500 miles on them and so far very happy. Previous tires were Michelin Pilot Road 4 GT. The rear tire let go several times when turning from an intersection, just let off the throttle, upright the bike and proceed with a faster heart rate. That would...

FJRF013 - Transmission Recall for Second Gear (DE, UK, CA, & US) (2016-2020)

Mine took almost 2 weeks. It worked fine after although I had to take it apart before winter as they tucked the battery tender cable up on top of the battery. While it was apart I could see they struggled with tools, lots of scratches. The bike did not leak before and doesn't afterward so that...

    2022 Yamaha FJR

I have the 2016 model and really like it. Best bike I have had for the 40 plus years I have been riding. Color is not a big deal to me, just want to ride. The black rims get abused whenever I get the tires replaced at the Yamaha dealership. Would be nice if they had non-marring tools. I get...

FJRF013 - Transmission Recall for Second Gear (DE, UK, CA, & US) (2016-2020)

I dropped mine off on March 9, 2021. Dealer says "Once we have the bike we can place the order for the kit. We are currently about 2 weeks out on repairs." That is ok, it is Wisconsin and riding starts mid April or above 45F. Well the bike is still there as parts are still on back order. They...

    Garage Door Opener

I soldered 2 short wires about 8 inches long from the switch connection points inside the remote. The wires go to a small momentary switch that is taped outside of the glove box. I take the battery out of the remote when it is not riding season.

    Adventure Series

At first I thought they had just gotten off track. Looks like fun on a bike designed for it; hats off to the riders.

I give, how do you remove the fairing side panels on the 2013?

I had less than 1000 miles on the 2016A and the left mirror was very loose. Thanks for the instructions and pictures; saved me a trip to the dealership. I installed nylon nuts in addition to the standard ones.

Problem installing 1" risers on 2013

I installed these 1 inch blocks last weekend. It went well while on the side stand to remove everything. I used a mini-sawsall on the loops. Installing the triple tree did not go well at all until I read the valuble information on the FJR forum. Got the wife and son to help get the bike back on...
