I have one of those aluminum racks for sale. I have the 50L top case as well in silver (it's scratched but not broken).
I have not come on the forum in a while, but happen to see this post. Send me a PM if you're interested; I'm in BC Canada.
Cheers
The Triumph Trophy SE 1250.
Just as reliable, way more comfy, fully loaded with all the electronics, good on gas, good price. But it is less sporty/peppy than the FJR.
It depends what you're looking for. For me i want a good tourer that is comfy for my wife as a pillion, and that's reasonably...
Different people have different reasons. Don't judge
In my case, even though I don't need to flat foot, I want to be extra stable when my wife is on the back because of she ever gets hurt getting off she may never get back on; so I'm taking zero chances.
I lowered the front by sliding the forks up 1/2". I lowered the back 3/4" by changing the links. I then had to straighten the kickstand (with a forge/blowtorch) to keep a proper lean. It was well worth the effort. No adverse effect on handling or leaning.
A suggestion for the next CFR: Have group-ride sign up sheets. Just a blank form with spaces for route & meet time, and a few names.
The thing is it's hard to find a group to join of you don't know anyone. So that would really help.
The other huge benefit is you then meet a few nice people *at...
Deborah & I finished our tour and made it home today. It was a memorable trip. Thanks to the organizers; but especially Jeff 'Grande', 'Good' Jeff & Lucie for making us feel so welcome. Hope we get to see you in the not-to-distant future.
Cool FastJoy. I fished your e-mail out of the spam box.
The Lodge is full ATM, but I asked them to call me when one of the cancellations (Jeff's?) comes through.
Just discovered this event and I'm considering attending with my wife. But never been to one of these. Not sure what to expect.
Any room left? Is there a list of rides? Are the rides organized? Is there a schedule?
I got me a 39L Yamaha top case (used, thanks Gazelle).
I think it'd be wise to replace the plastic rack so the sub-frame doesn't crack. So I'm looking for one. Just thought I'd check here before buy new from Yamaha.
I have a 2007 Gen 2.
I'm in Alberta Canada.
