    Bike Cover Specifics

Here's my latest update. I picked this up late September of 2022. The cover has been doing well but is showing some wear. I commute around 12 days a month and cover the bike every day I commute. Similar to tent material, water (dew, sprinklers, rain) does transfer through the cover where it...

    Tourmaster Shield Rainsuit review

Last summer I walked into a local shop and they were clearing out some rain gear. I figured at some point I might need some (FYI, it DOES sometimes rain in California). I have had the jacket and pants rolled up in my hard case since I purchased them. This morning, at 3AM, at the end of my...

    Leather Jacket Alterations near LA

So, I found a taylor by my house. It's called San Dimas Taylor. He did an amazing job. For $160 he altered the size of the jacket perfectly. Best of all, it looks like it came that way originally. Would definitely recommend him. I still may reach out to Anthony's Leatherworks because we...

2015 Sticky Throttle body after service

Final post. There is nothing wrong with the throttle. I just didn't notice the movement before I pulled everything apart. Mods, feel free to delete this post.

2015 Sticky Throttle body after service

In hindsight, I'm not sure there's anything wrong with the throttle. I started thinking about they system and the ECU. I was comparing it to how my dirt bike works: quick twist, let go and it snaps back. Then I started thinking: I've never done that on this bike..... It does return just fine...

2015 Sticky Throttle body after service

Thanks. I checked the routing. Checked free play, both with the bars straight and turned. The issue is it is definitely not the cables, they are smooth. It's the actual pivot point on the end of the carb assembly. It's like a bike that sat for years would have gummed up.

2015 Sticky Throttle body after service

I just completed my valve-clearance check. As part of that, I removed the plate at the bottom of the throttle cables. I reassembled everything to the point where I can start it with the tank propped up to check for leaks etc. and I noticed the throttle is stiff. I pulled the plate off and...

    Leather Jacket Alterations near LA

Hey all, I picked up a jacket a while back and want to alter both the zipper and the fit. Does anybody have suggestions in SoCal? I'm about 30 miles east of Los Angeles. Thanks, Scott

    Bike Cover Specifics

It's interesting how many options there are out there. And for every feature, there are 10 options. A month in, where I literally had 3 days off from work, and I'm happy with my choice. Holding up well (of course, it has only been a month...), rolls up easily and fits in my pannier well. art...

    Hello from SoCal.

Hey Cycle, Been a bit busy lately. Commute is around 42 miles. Of course, on SoCal freeways, in my truck, that feels like about 90 on most days. The bike keeps me sane.

    Hello from SoCal.

Hey there. New to the forum, new to Yamaha, not new to bikes. Picked up my 2015 in March. Used primarily for commuting. I've only driven my truck to work once since I picked it up and I love the bike. Have done a couple of trips to the mountains and am planning an end-to-end PCH ride for...

    Bike Cover Specifics

First off, hello, first post here. Picked up my new (to me) 2015 in March. I have driven my truck to work exactly once since then. Love this bike for commuting and for trips up in the mountains. Planning on a PCH run start-to-end in November. Now to the meat. I've had the same cover...
