I have both also along with the Yamaha Tall Windshield and they all work great. Make sure your idle is at 1100 to 1200 rpm warm and adjust all the slack out of the throttle cable and you won't have any more trouble with the snap on throttle response.

Thought about it too a few times. Buttttt everytime I see a black bike after a ride, they really turn me off. It's like they highlight the dirt and grime and magnify any scratches. Even waxing with a cloth rag shows swirl marks when clean.

Please post the outcome with your insurance adjuster. My rates are high and would like to change to a different company, but am somewhat hesitant to save a few bucks and get stuck with a tough insurance company.

+1 for me! Just added them on my 07 and they work and look great! The added benefit for me is when I ride in shorts, my ankles and lower legs stay cool in this 93 degree Florida heat!

I had my dealer install the heli triple tree at 600 mile service interval. Did a good job per the specs. Did not use anti tamper screws, but who cares. If the bike gets stolen, who will ever question that!! Dealer was'nt sure of time to charge, so I just quoted what was either quoted by Heli...
